Introduction
“Write in a book what you see, and send it,”
(Jesus, Revelation 1:11).
This is a compilation of observations on spiritual reality
that I have made in my search to understand truth and the
mysteries of life. It is my conviction that Jesus Christ is the
ultimate teacher of truth and the Source or Prince of Life.
Consequently much attention is given to understand this great
God-Man and His mission as revealed to us in the Bible. I pray
that God will grant to the reader, a spirit of wisdom and of
revelation in the knowledge of Him . . . that the eyes of
your heart may be enlightened (Ephesians. 1:17, 18).
Hopefully there will be those that will benefit from what I’ve
written.
Before I understood that Jesus Christ was/is the
preeminent source of divine truth, I studied the major religions
and philosophies of the world. My goal was to compile a system
of beliefs that were based on truth. What I soon realized is
that any religious belief, cultural philosophy, ethnic dogma, or
historical record that are not rooted and grounded in truth will
not endure. Such sources of “wisdom” are useless and worthless
to pursue.
Any collection of beliefs must agree with the two main witnesses
of truth. These witnesses are nature and the history of man.
They are available to all people no matter what culture they may
come from or level of education they may have.
On inspecting nature, the first witness of truth, it is quite
evident that the magnitude and design in nature points to the
existence of a great Creator. This Creator God is quite powerful
and is the author of all life. Coupled with this knowledge is,
God is love. Nature bears witness to a very loving and caring
God. Who through much effort provides for the needs of even the
smallest of His creatures. This is amplified over and over again
through the tremendous witness of nature's majestic beauty
continually unfolding around us. Louis Armstrong sings it like
this:
“I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself, what a wonderful
world”
(What a Wonderful World by George Weiss and
Bob Thiele).
The second main witness of truth, the history of man, says
something else--it says something is wrong. This beautiful
creation has been invaded by a spirit of evil which is set in
opposition to the loving Creator and devoted to death and
destruction.
The purpose of this book is to provide a better understanding of
God’s great love for us. In Jesus Christ, the Prince of Life,
God is a Bridegroom looking to wed a bride. It is through the
intensity of God’s fiery love being released as He comes for His
bride that evil will be destroyed. The Prince of Life will
swallow up death forever.
The book is divided into two parts:
Part One examines why God allows the presence of evil, as
manifested through sin, death, and Hell, to exist in His
creation. This spirit of evil will culminate in the antichrist's
kingdom of death at the end of the age.
Part Two, describes how the spirit of evil will be overcome when
the antichrist’s kingdom is overthrown by Jesus Christ. This
will take place as Christ enters into a bridal relationship with
His church when He establishes His kingdom of life on the earth.
The epilogue at the end of the book is a summary description of
Jesus Christ the Prince of Life. It is followed by a brief
addendum.
